Organization of Portfolio

This portfolio was completed during my final semester of coursework (for EAC 692: Capstone Project), and serves to document my learning and professional development throughout the M.Ed. in Training and Development Program. The portfolio contains six components:

1.    Introduction
2.    Coursework
3.    Poster Presentation
4.    Future Plans
5.    Summary
6.    Resume

The core of my portfolio lies within the Coursework section. I identified coursework illustrative of important milestones in my learning process and organized them into three themes: Theme 1: Instructional Design; Theme 2: Organizational Development; and, Theme 3: Adult Learning. These themes not only demonstrate key areas of my professional development, but are also representative of common areas within the profession of training and development.

The Poster Presentation section showcases a poster that I created and presented at the American Public Health Association's Annual Meeting and Exposition. It highlights the successes, challenges, and lessons learned from the development and implementation of a statewide training program for public health practitioners.

The Future Plans section describes how my master’s degree will influence my future career direction and learning.

The Summary section provides a summary of my portfolio and reflects on what I learned from creating it. References used throughout my portfolio are also provided.

The Resume section communicates my educational and professional accomplishments, and skill set in the areas of instructional design, organizational development, and adult learning.

It is my hope that anyone who views this portfolio will gain a true sense of my learning and expertise in the areas of instructional design, organizational development, and adult learning.
